Fire beats earth, earth beats air, air beats water and water beats fire.
Labyrinth
While outside of battle, each flame will drain at the rate of 1 per 30 seconds, regardless of difficulty. In short, you’ve got a four minute timer of live action to get your team together and get your goal done. Thankfully, time does not flow during any menus and has a different rate of passage during battles.
Unlike exploration mode, Time Flow during battles is actually affected by difficulty. I set up a little experiment where I lowered the enemies speed as low as possible while also raising my speed as high as possible. After that was achieved, I casted random debuffs/buffs until I either hit 100 turns or the enemies fled. On turn 101, I used an item to escape from battle.
Keen mode: Lasted till turn 100; Lost a total of 4 Flames.
Fanatical mode: Lasted until turn 90; Lost a total of 2 Flames.
Fortune mode: 100~ish turns, lost 4 flames. (I personally expected the results to be more similar to Fanatical, but oh well. :/ )
Unfortunately, I’m not aware if there is a ‘Minimum Drain’ for battles; if there isn’t, Keen mode will last close to the same amount of time as Fanatical, since you’ll take far less turns due to easier enemies.
(Fun Fact: Time does not drain in the Demon World/Feast, and all of the monsters have pretty rare drops. Try to kill them all before taking on Seimei if you’re strong enough!)
Baby Making
It turns out that the difficulty actually plays a VERY major role in how well your clan and chosen God get it on. The game has four different Stat Inheritance/Character Growth Rates and once your child is born, they are permanently locked into that tier, meaning you change to Keen, make a baby, and then change back to Fanatical and enjoy all the benefits. (Keen/Fortune share the same rates, and are the highest, while Fanatical is the lowest.)
Fire and Earth gods tend to produce darker skinned offsprings, while Water and Air gods tend to produce lighter skinned offsprings. That is because said gods have higher elemental affinity to their element. If you make balanced kids, they will not change in skin color. Check the genetical makeup before marrying a god.
Heptacolor Baths
Heptacolor Spring has 4 fixed patterns, you can check which pattern you fall under by checking the board.
And the last pattern for Wooden Tag can be gotten no matter what pattern you fall under
